Default 3:73s on a 6spd 480rwhp nitrous car too much?

my daily driver makes 380rwhp (cam and bolt ons). So far it takes forever to shift since my rev limit has been moved to 6700rpms while I shift at 6500.

On spray I shift at 6200rpms.

I wanted to go 373s to go faster running NA but im worried that 373s will be too much gear for my nitrous application? Anyone have any idea?

I see a lot of people saying that they have noticed no improvement with 3:73s so I assume I should be fine and maybe just a little quicker on the bottle as well?

I drive with Nitto DRs. Hope I can spray it in 1st gear but so far im thinking its not gonna happen.

mph x rear gear x trans gear x 336
divided by tire height.
i'm sure someone else has other formulas for this..
if your really bored, this can keep you entertained for hours

OWENMUSTANG, I have no idea what your talking about. What is this formula supposed to calculate? whats the tire height for a 275 40 17 nittos? what am I supposed to put for trans gear? Im guessing like 1 thru 6? I would appreciate it if you can elaborate.

What kind of tires are you spraying on? Tires size? What did you you dyno on the 150 shot? Are you spraying on first gear (If so at what rpms - how much rwtq)? Is it a 2 stage setup? Please tell me more about your traction conditions. Did you try the same spray setup on nitto drag radials? How was the traction? Did you have any traction on the street on the 150 shot?

So far im hooking on my nittos on the street in 1st gear. But I can only spray at 4500rpms (1st gear roll) if my tires are heated slightly (no big burnouts necessary). And thats on stock 3:42s and at 4500 rpm im doing about 500rwtq.

nitto 275/40/17 height 25.63
mph x rear gear ratio x trans ratio (ex 1st is 2.66 4th is 1.00 6th is .50)
so trap speed of 120 is 5867.87 not accounting for tire growth.
120 x 3.73 x 336 (4th is 1.0 doesn't chg anything) =
divide by 25.63 gives you 5867.87..
note 4th is the only trans gear ratio you don't need to input

What kind of tires are you spraying on?...ET Drags
Tires size?....26x10 or 28x10.5
What did you you dyno on the 150 shot?...haven't dynoed with my good clutch
Are you spraying on first gear (If so at what rpms - how much rwtq)?..yup launch at 5 grand on spray out of the hole
Is it a 2 stage setup?...I have a wet 150 and a dry 75 but i never used the 75 shot
Please tell me more about your traction conditions....my best is 1.56 60' worst is 1.77 60'
Did you try the same spray setup on nitto drag radials?...nope. DR are for street racers
How was the traction? Great
Did you have any traction on the street on the 150 shot?...never sprayed in first gear on the street, it would probably just light them up.

hope all this info helps
