I was originally planning on getting some Motive 3.90s to throw in the diff while it is being upgraded but Summit has their estimated ship date of 24 Nov....How do Motive gears compare to Yukon gears? Are there other brands I should consider?
They are going in a 2000 Corvette in a 3 rib diff....

AAM does not make 3.90s for the y-bodies, correct??
(IF they did, I would tell you to seek them out, but try G2 as well, as they might still be U.S. made. )

Ive always ran yukons in my 4wd's as with 90 percent of all of my friends. Never had a problem in anything but toyota's because they would run 5.13's and there was only a few teeth of the pinion touching the ring gear. Due to this and them usaully being geared way down with dual tcases and stuff they would break a tooth off of the gear.
My 4.88's have been through two 8.6" 10 bolts that ive bent without any problems, running a 4.3l in low range n the rocks, sand , and mud with 36" tall tires on steel wheeel beadlocks.

I have Motive 3.90's in my factory rear end currently. Now they worked perfect, and still may be, but, last night after my first hard powershift with my new engine work there is a new "noise" coming from the rear end. Haven't looked into it, but if those gears are defective, which I can't see them being, I'm not gonna be happy.
