I love my 4.56 gears. At 70 mph 6th gear it's at about 2200 rpm. Don't fear the gear I promise you! Now if you running 17inch wheels and regular ole tires adds up to 24 to 25 inch tire you will run out quick in 4th.

Im thinking about 4.30 or 4.56's myself. I too run the 1/8th mile mostly. Don't we want a gear that will let us top out third gear in the eighth? Unless you make big big power, we're never gonna top out 4th gear even with 4.56's. What'd you end up going with?
