Default Torsen differential

Hey guys, getting ready to install my girdle on my rear end for my 2001 Trans Am WS6. I got 75w90 supertech gear lube. Since it is supposed to have the Torsen differential, I know there is a tsb to use a friction modifier if you wanted. I was curious, would motorcraft friction modifier be ok to use especially since its just 4 oz? thanks

I don't see the need for friction modifier for a torsen diff.

Thanks for the replies fellas your going to laugh tho I am just going to return what I bought and get the 75w-90 mobile synthetic with no modifier. I will feel more comfortable doing that since the owners manual says 75w-90 synthetic. Thanks again i appreciate the responses, you guys are awesome.

The syn has the modifier already in it in case you weren't aware.

True, but the vast majority of the gear oils which claim to have the friction modifier already in them have so little added that it is almost like having none at all.

I know this because I changed out my factory T2, for an Eaton carbon clutch pack Posi, and I ALWAYS have to add at least 4 more ounces of the Motorcraft XL-3 additive to get the thing to stop moaning and groaning on slow, parking lot, coasting turns, EVEN WHEN using gear oils which claim to have the additive already in them.
