Default All 1350 yoke to stock size yoke crossover u-joints can only handle 500hp?

After talking to ACPT today, they mentioned the Spicer/Dana 447 crossover u-joint is no longer made.

The only one that can replace it is a Naepco 2-1153 u-joint, which he says is hollow and is really only reliable to 500hp.

This scares the crap out of me because I was planning on launching with as much as 600rwhp off the line and another 100 shot later on down the track.

Anyone know where to get a stronger u-joint?

Just buy a driveshaft/front yoke that uses 1350 joints. Stock driveshaft and front yoke will fail way before that conversion joint will most likely.

The 1350 driveshafts I was looking at from ACPT mean I need to buy a new $180 tranny shaft that will mate with the 1350 yoke.

Ideally I'd like to find a driveshaft that is a standard size to mate with the tranny on one end, and a 1350 size to mate with the rear end on the other.

Agreed! I consider the conversion Joints a temporary solution in order to use a stock driveshaft for a while.

A driveshaft shop could put a 1350 rear cap on your driveshaft but why?
Go with a good shaft and 1350 yokes with the power you plan to abuse them with Pay now in the garage or pay later at the track...
