Default Aftermarket driveshaft ?

So i'm getting ready to swap out my cruddy 10 bolt for a 9" from quick performance. I do have a couple of questions about replacing the driveshaft.

Namely, what is the correct length, and what is the correct yoke to get? QP lists like four different ones for their center section and it makes me go trying to figure it out lol.

If I order a driveshaft, I assume it doesn't include the tail shaft for the trans, so would I order a new one that fits the trans and the new yoke size?

Sorry, I don't know much about this. >

What transmission? That will tell you which yoke to get..

Most aftermarket rear ends use 1350 series u joints

Why don't you call the people you are ordering the rear from? When I ordered from MWC they strongly recommend a new driveshaft. He asked me a few questions, Told me the price and done

Your experience is the same as mine with Carl and my S60. I think it's the difference of dealing with a Ls1tech sponsor that makes the effort to know the cars and the community. These things go past just a cheap *** price.

Do yourself a huge favor and wait until the rear end is installed and measure for driveshaft length. We can sell customers driveshafts for our fabricated nine inch and S60 with out measuring because we have sold hundreds of these rear ends and have also installed hundreds of them and because of the years of knowledge we know what works with just a few questions asked.

If you need pricing on a driveshaft let us know we offer PST at great prices.

My MWC stuff bolted in like it a factory part, Carl was also awesome on the phone. Put it in and measure, then talk to a sponsor and get the right part.

Take a look at my link here for the PST 3.5" alum driveshaft. It comes with the tailshaft and both 1350 u joints. The nine inch rears for these cars typically require a one inch longer driveshaft that a 10 bolt or a 12 bolt does. It always a good idea to confirm the length needed before ordering, as it eliminates the occasional surprises. The "x" dimension in the diagram in the above link is used to determine the correct length, this is with the rear in the loaded position. Bob
