I had my 3.23 swapped for 3.73 last winter .Is it important that I change
the gear oil now?

You should change the gear oil after the first 500 miles of break-in on a new set of gears... after that, I would change the gear oil once a year as long as you're not taking it to the track a lot. You can go longer (at most maybe 2 year interval), but just for piece of mind I'd do it once a year.

Otherwise, if you're like me and go to the track quite a bit, I usually will change the gear oil once before race season, and again after.
