Explorer pinion bolts

Doing a 2007 Classic 5.3/4L60E swap in my 48 Chevy pickup. Using a 2000 Ford Explorer disc brake rear end. Can I use hardware store bolts for the drive shaft to the circular flange hookup on the Explorer rear?
