Default Whats this hole in my 10 bolt?

I bought a low mile 10 bolt the other day with 3.73s. I was checking backlash and saw this little hole in the housing. What is it? I dont want my fluid leaking out of there and wondered if there was some sort of plug that usually goes there

That is for the pumpkin's breather valve, a one way 'check valve' which goes in there.

IF you do not want to fab up your own, with some hose with a small K&N type filter on the end of it, and a brass hose connector pressed into that hole, you can get a plastic OEM one from any GM dealer for ~$6.00
