ANOTHER rear end Question :) Ive been hearing clunk,"whur", clicking,you name it..ONLY when turning.Tonite I jacked up the rear and found VERY noticable "play" when I grab wheel and rock it back and fourth.Its not a u joint,Its in the rear end.I can turn the wheel about 1.5+ inches back and fourth and hear click...like pinion play?
there is no play in the wheel bearing.......
PS both wheels turn in the same direction and the posi works well....

Your diff is on its way out. don't launch it AT ALL or your gonna be out of luck. if you got the cash order a nice rear if you don't start looking for another diff. you can usually pick them up for under $100 (a stock one)

SO thats it? no repair can be done? well at least GM got the trans and motor right in this car!
