Default Axle Question - Why no quick change rear ends?

Since I haven't done a lot of straight line stuff lately.. .(30 years ish.. )

Why doesn't anybody run a quick change in their drag cars? They are not significantly more money,, have huge axles, The ones I fiddle with oval racing take upward of 800 HP of hard use.. So why not? (Of course you mainly see them with a spool in them.. )

Cheers

I would think that it's do to room mainly, they're a big center section, but others might chime in with better ideas.

Ah wasn't thinking of that ,,, would make sense.. Since most of the cars I work with have fuel cells.. not stock tanks and typically you can just cut body parts out of the way.. LOL Just wondered because it seems like it would make sense for adjusting to track conditions.. Easily..
