Question Going Turbo, Need a new Driveshaft for 2001 Camaro SS M6 Moser 9"

Hello all,

I'm going to turbo my 2001 Camaro SS M6 this year, the parts are on the way!

I currently have a Moser 9" with a 1350 yoke and 3.50 gears.

I recently changed my rear gears and just installed a new Monster LT1-S clutch so I'm in the process of slowly breaking those parts in.

My car is lowered only 3/4" using the SLP Eibach springs and I have adjustable BMR LCA's.

I currently have the stock driveshaft in place, while not ideal, it did work for me the last few years.

My max power goal is at least 800 RWHP so I need a good driveshaft that can handle the power and not vibrate. My car is mostly a street car but I will go to the track at least twice a year with a sticky tire on it.

What brands/companies do you guys recommend? Looking to buy soon.

Purchase one of these and never look back.
PST Carbon Drive Shaft From Midwest Chassis

This would be my next choice.

I have the PST Aluminum specced out by midwest chassis when i purchased the rear. No vibration and it is lighter than the steel shaft just don't remember by how much.

Carbon fiber it out. Too much $$$ and the street reliability.

I knew a guy years ago that had one on a street car, something got kicked up on the road, hit it and boom, no more driveshaft. He was just driving it normal on the street too.

Should I pull mine to measure or does everyone have the correct size for a T-56/Moser 9" Combo?

There are some factory cars that come with carbon drive shafts so I would think that they are pretty reliable now and also you could always purchase the lifetime warranty but with what you are doing a 3'' chromoly shaft with a good yoke will be just fine. I would always measure for the length of the drive shaft.
