Default 10 Bolt Removal

What is the easiest strategy for disconnecting the E-Brake cable from the rear end of a 4th gen f-body? Is it to compress the circular clips seen in the pic and slide it out? I guess I'm not sure how that "circular clip" works.

First off, those clips suck!

I was able to get them out by pressing on each of the 3 prongs with a flathead screwdriver and spinning the cable to get access to the 3rd prong while keeping the other prongs depressed. It's a pain to figure out at first, but once you get one of them done it will make the others easier.

I tried to get the cable running from the center console to the split like your second picture, but didn't have enough room and wasn't going to bother taking the driveshaft out and such, so I just cut the cable and pulled it out where it comes into the center console.

Hopefully this helps you out.

A small hose clamp works well. Place it around the prongs and snug it up enough to allow it to pass through the bracket. Easy peasy !

What this dude says. You dont have to disconnect that part of the e brake cable, just from each wheel.
