Default Speed sensor reluctor ring

Putting 3:73 ring and pinion along with an Eaton truetrack diff. and some Alloy USA axles in the ten bolt this weekend. I was looking up some specs in the manual and noticed the speed sensor ring around the factory diff. How is this ring held onto case ?

Press fit. What series is the carrier,2 series carrier has a narrow ring,3 series carrier has a wider offset ring.

It's the factory 3:23. Man, I'm only a grand away from buying the Strange S60 by the time I'm done buying all the stuff needed to rebuild this softball size 10 bolt. Re thinking this thing. 🤔

Why are you rebuilding it ?
You really need to create/make a signature about the car so we know how to answer questions. Only thing I can guess at is that it's an automatic because of the 3.23 gears. What year is the car ? How many miles on it ? How do you use it ?

It's a 1994 25th TA A4 that has just under 60k. My Z that I run in the NED VP bracket race series was down at the begining of the season so I bought a couple of drag radials and brought the garage princess to the drags. Its run a best of 14.00 at 97.06 mph. It's been so much fun running it and driving home with the ac on I've left the Z home even though she's fixed. Decided to build from back to front. 3:73 gears and Eaton diff was first on the list. Converter next followed by a set of AI or Elliott heads and cam.

To be honest, ya dont need an s60 for a H/C LT1. A properly setup 10 bolt can handle that all day in an auto car.

^^^ beat me to it !!! The little 10 bolts live quite long behind an A4. An A4 with a transbrake then would be a problem.

Well that's good to hear for my build. Granted I'm no longer LT1 I've moved over to a vortec headed carbed motor and th350. Was planning on putting a girdle cover on and calling it good, hopefully.
