Default quick performance question

Any one running stock driveline with there long 1350 yoke. I've always heard you need a one inch longer drive shaft when doing nine inch swap. It is supposed to be 1 inch longer

I went with a quick performance 9" and had to get another driveshaft made due to durability and it was toooo short. The driveshaft that was fab up was a little over an inch longer than the stock driveshaft.

It's not worth it to use the stock wimpy shaft that could break and cause a lot of carnage anyway.

I have a QP rear, stock trans and 1350 yoke. Have a nearby driveline shop build one 1" longer than stock. Heavy duty 1350 joints. Make it steel. Non greasable Spicer. Should cost about 300 bucks and will last forever. Make sure it's painted.

Strange makes a very nice piece. Keep in mind it's 300 bucks for their shaft plus a yoke and shipping. Chromemoly shafts are slightly heavier and completely unnessessary for our power level. A good Dom steel shaft will handle more than we can throw at it. My steel shaft was $289 and that includes the yokes and balancing. No vibrations and the shop offered me a no twist gurantee. If I twist it they give me a new one no questions asked. But if you are looking for overkill then yes, get the strange. Very good piece.

I like the fact that i can run a 3” and be stronger than a 3.5” steel shaft, i saw those shafts on jegs for $250 with u joints, all you need is your slip yoke
