Hi I had a noisy 3.08 non trac in my auto 2002 3.8 Firebird, So once I found out the repair cost I bought a FBody 3.42 non trac from hawks, but since it was pulled and had been sitting its got surface rust on it. I intend to wire brush it and hit it with black rust stopper grill paint. But I want to put a better axle cover with a plug on it and I dont know if I have a 7.5 or 8.5 I also dont know what yr car it came from tho it does have disk brakes. Can some one tell me what size I need? Thanks!
