3 gen axle on 4 gen car?

Default 3 gen axle on 4 gen car?
Hi!
I got a 4 gen Trans Am with a stock rear axle. Iīm looking for a better rear axle and now one have come up for sale.
Itīs a Moser 12 bolt. BUT itīs from a 3 gen Camaro.
Does this axle fit my Trans Am??

Yes it will fit, all the mounts are the same but the axle will be slightly narrower.

Do you know how much narrower it is?

EDIT: Found the info. Itīs 3" smaller.
