Loud whining noise in rear end
I have a Moser nine inch rear end with US Gears which has approximately 1000 miles on it. The rear end was quiet for the first 850 mils but now has a very very loud whining noise that is so loud that it is undrivable. We have opened up the rear end and it appears to have an abnormal wear pattern. The rear end is installed in a 2001 Camaro. Anybody have this issue with their Moser rear-end?

also, since you have it apart, look for any heat discoloration on the pinion and anywhere the bearings ride.

Rearend
We put new pinion and the noise level has gone down substantially. Thanks for your reply and comments.
