I think the 98 cars came with auburn posi and the some of the SLP SS packages came with them too. I'm not 100% sure on it but that's what i remember.

The WS6s never had an option for an upgraded posi. 98s had a stock Auburn Gear. 99-02 had the Torsen.

Jack the rear end up. Put it in gear. Release the E-brake. Spin one wheel. If the opposite wheels spins backwards (opposite the direction that you spun the first wheel), it's a torsen. If you can't spin it, it's an auburn. That is how to test one.
