I was given a 9 inch for free and looking to fit it in my 01 ta. I have stock 10 bolt so I can cut brackets off and weld on 9 inch and put new ends on and weld back braces on. Is it worth the work if I have the capability to do it myself?
by no means am i trying to hijack a post but i also picked up a ford 9 today and mine doesnt have the brackets for the springs or lower control arms, do you know where u can purchase these prefabed?

I purchased weld-on LCA brackets for my 9” from UMI. Not sure about spring mounts.

Should be able to pick up as the brackets/spring mounts from Midwest chassis
This is the only way I have known anyone to do it. The housing end choice may change depending on brakes.
Or you can let us do all the welding and end up with a fabricated housing over a stamped steel housing and get a better product that is stronger and lighter.

People purchase our two piece torque arm all the time for the QP housing however we have never done it in house so I do not have tech advice on what they are doing to make it work.
