Sorry it’s been a while doing the finishing touches on my garage, working on the 8.8 swap while I’m doing this also. I’ve got the racecraft brackets tacked to the 8.8. I got Viking rear coilovers installed on the car right now and currently lining things up.
This is how I got the brackets in the right spot. Put both diffs in line (centreline), level and parallel. Put lines perfectly in the center of 10-bolt spring perches and perfectly square. Then make sure spring perches are perfectly level on 10-bolt and measure pinion angle with magnetic angle finder. Then set same pinion angle on 8.8. Then position new brackets spring perches centered on old ones, and level. Tack them in.
Subbed. Got a similar mindset about a better rear end on the cheap.
Do you know if other F150 8.8 rears are the same or just the OBS (old body style)?. There seem to be a bunch of 97-03 in my local junkyards.
sorry don’t have the info you need I just happened to have this diff lying around for years that was off my very first truck, if you do find the info you need mind sharing ? Thx in advance!
I know this is an older post but do you have any updates?
Decided to use Midwest chassis’ bent style Antiroll bar, just got it in. Next step will be to tack it in, then final weld everything. Will post pics as I go.
Ford explorer discs, redrilled to 5x4.75, f150 axles turned down to fit inside the explorer discs, and hub center filled with weld and turned down to 70mm to fit inside camaro wheels Final installation
