Top Speed With 4.10s?

I haven't wound my car out yet, and I was curious if anyone with 4.10's could tell me what the top speed is? Thanks.

Theoretically, with 4.10 gears, 27" tall tires and a max. RPM of 6,500...your top speed
in 4th gear (1:1 ratio) would be 127mph. At 55mph, this should roughly be 2,800 rpm...to verify.

In 5th gear, (.75:1 ratio) your theoretical top speed would be 169. HTH...

I have a 4.30 gear with 275/40/17 tires. In 5th the highest I have gotten it is 135mph. The rear end soundsl like it's about to come apart it's so loud, that I can hardly hear the exhaust over the scream of the gear/ rear end. I don't remember what rpm that is, but I think it was around 5900 rpms. I'm sure I could take it higher, but I don't wanna cause any unneeded damage.

My redline is set at 6800.

i used Judd's suggestion of http://f-body.org/gears
and found the M6 gear ratios here- http://www.sallee-chevrolet.com/Chev...ons/gmt56.html
with a stock sized tire (275/40/17 or 245/50/16) and a redline of 6800, I will top out at 171 in 5th gear (253 in 6th) with 4.10 gears
a stock redline should top out at 151 compared to 181 with 3.42's
