12 Bolt info needed quick
What do you think?
Assuming I go 12 bolt, I need some direction on a few options:
1) Moser vs Strange? Any major differences?
2) Eaton Posi vs Full Spool? I don't know what a full spool is.
3) Upgrade to the 1350 series pinion yoke worth it?
4) Does the standard chrome comers usually have drain plugs? Do I need to worry about changing fluid often in a 12 bolt?
5) It is worth upgrading to a TA Cover?
6) Is it worth getting the 33 Spline posi/axles setup?
7) This is for a daily driver, so would 3.73 gears be my best option?
8) Will the shop need an installation kit for mounting up the sway bars, etc?
Sorry for all the questions, but I need to get my car back up and running so I need a quick education on 12 bolt systems. Thanks in advance for all your help!!!!!
BTW, $1500 to rebuild a 10 bolt is a complete ripoff. Posi = $200, axles = $250, gears = $150, setup = $200, Total = $800 max. Or you can buy a complete low mileage rear from a salvage yard for <$400.
Good luck!
1. You can get a moser built to your likings an about a week, Strange is 4 weeks out(comes standard with the specs your asking about).-I went with Moser(and upgraded)
2. Eaton HD posi for the street-Full spool for the track-I went with Eaton
3. Upgrade to the 1350 if you plan on it seeing any major HP-I upgraded
4. Not sure on this answer
5. Not sure if its worth the $135 but I went with it
6. See answer for # 3
7. Personal preference-I went with 4:11's
8. I bought the installation kit cuz I was told that it included everything needed for the install.
I am in no way a rearend expert so don't take my info as gospil, but this is what I was able to find out when researching. Hope it helps.

I just don't feel like messing around on fixing a POS 10 bolt....
