rear end i got a 02 ss and i got this clunk in my rear end and was wondering what it is and my dad said if i was going to rip it open to see what is wrong i should change the gear ratio at the same time and he said by changing the gears it will probly get rid of my clunk sound what gear should i go to and will this help the problem and how hard is it to do?

hmmm...im not sure if they changed anything in the rear end, but i kno that the drive shaft was replaced. do u still have it under warranty? if not try running a search on the site and see if anything comes up.

depends what the clunking sounds like. Is this repeatative clunking? or only the first time you transistion to acceleration?
Replacing the tranny mount with a poly one is an easy way to trouble-shoot this.
