My LSD has gone out for the 3rd and last time. I'm getting it fixed right! I'm looking at going with the Strange 12bolt w/ 4.10's, 33spline, & 1350 yoke. My question is will the upgraded "super strength" posi hold up to me launching on the bottle? Will it eventually break? If so, will a spool? This is also my daily driver. I know I will have to get used to a few things with the spool. But if it is the only thing that won't break, then that's what I need to get. Also I have read posts that M6 guys have broken 12bolt posi's, but are these the standard posi's or the upgraded? TIA for any info.

I've got the Heavy Duty posi in my Moser 12 bolt and around 100 passes on it without a problem. These are also hard launches on Hoosier QTP's dropping the clutch at 6500-6600 rpms

I have a Strange 12 bolt with 33 spline and a BROKEN ss Posi....I thought I just broke 2 or 3 teeth but its more like 10 teeth. ET Streets Killed my rearend. My car has been on jackstands for 2 weeks waiting on new spidergears. Launching at allmost 6K and sidestepping the clutch created alot of headaches for me. I wont do that again,the rear couldnt handle it.

I have heard yes and no. It really just depends how hard you shock them. They are VERY durable and rebuildable which is good. If you want all out strength just got spool.

If you go with a moser I have an EATON HD (the super strength according to strange) for sale with a set of 3.73's and machined for ABS already(33 spline). It won't work with strange axles but it will for moser. Also you can also build up the rear cheaper this way and have it set up CORRECTLY because moser has monkeys setting up their rears...
