Breaking in new gears.

Installed my 3.73's last night. If I put about 150 miles on 'em should I be safe for the track?

No I would get at least 500 hundred miles on them. Then slowly put some harder driving on them. Or call the company and ask them. By buddy blew his 4.10 out this spring after 300 miles. However he has most of the bolt ons. I know its not easy waiting, but I sure as hell wouldn't want to spend more money on new parts. If you blow them out you won't just be buying a new ring and pinion. Good luck.

The only thing you need to do to break in a gear set is heat cycle it a couple times. Gears are not like clutches. Just drive them for a few mile to get some heat in them and let cool, then repeat. If you have 150 miles on the gears I assume that they all were not driven in one session so go have fun

After doing a search I guess you could be OK. I've alway heard you need to wait 500 mile or so. It seems you could go either route. Always learning here at LS1tech I love it. Good luckj.
