An Adj. panhard will fix this and wont require any hammering of the tunnel
thats the yoke that comes on the 8.8's. he sent me the part that you get the u-joint pressed into. then all you do is bolt it up to the yoke. pretty straight forward.

stupid question...whats the advantage of doing the 8.8 vs a 12 bolt...is it just price? or is it more efficient? I like it...im used to dealing with an 8.8

slow3hoe2, the biggest advantage over the 12 bolt is weight and efficiency. That's why I made my decision. Cheapness also helps. I think I can probably build one for around $1k. $300 for new axles, $300 for diff, ebay for gears, cover. I'll do the fab myself or have some friends help. Should be a fun winter project !
