Yes with a 12 bolt, I think you can now buy a 9inch with it but not 100% sure.

You can keep it with a 9" only if you have 4 channel abs....(i think thats right) someone else chime in if Im wrong. I know that you can keep it but I think you have to have 4 channel abs

IMHO, I would not want to keep ABS or TCS. ABS sucks when your trying to stop the car and it kicks in....It will also ruin a set of rotors.

Your opinions if you have the following:

3 channel (abs only): 12-bolt. I've heard some 8.8's were made to work...but nobody is mass-producing the 8.8's now that I'm aware of. Also, a few people have custom fab'd a 9" to work...but most of the ways I have heard involved using a machine shop.

4 channel (abs & tcs/asr): 12 bolt, 8.8, or 9"

you want neither: 12 bolt, 8.8, 9"

My fiance and I want to keep abs on both cars...never seen it ruin a set of rotors...I'm glad when I kicks in because it means the wheels aren't going to lock on me and I'm not going to skid (at least from the brakes locking.) I used to drive a front-wheel drive car without abs. That thing was worse in the winter and on wet roads than either fbody we have is. It would skid and lock up the brakes so easily. I'll keep my abs..unfortunately for the one car...it means a 12-bolt and not a 9".

Kenafin_02TA is correct. You can only keep your ABS/TCS on a 9" ford if it uses the 4 channel ABS system (reluctor rings on each axle). If your F-body was equipped with TCS or ASR, this is the system it uses. If yours was not equipped with TCS (Firebirds) or ASR (Camaros) then you have the 3 channel ABS (1 reluctor ring on the differential), and have to either go with a 12 bolt or disable your ABS to go with a 9". I have no idea about the 8.8, but would suspect it is similar to the 9".

YOu just have to have the axles machined and put the reluctor wheels on them and you have 4 channel ABS!

My 9" inch is for sale as of today if you are interested $1700 or $1500 + stock rear

35 spline axles, Strange nodular iron case, 4.11's, detroit locker, daytone billet aluminum pinion spacer.
