will stock 7.5 10 bolt axle tubes fit an 8.5 10 bolt center
will stock 7.5 10 bolt axle tubes fit an 8.5 10 bolt center?
I have a 98 z28 a4 my buddy has a rear end to give me it is a 8.5 10 bolt with he has in his 80 camaro racecar it has a spool and has held up to 6.70's in the 8th mile and I would like to put it in my car but I know that the tubes and axles will not be as long but can I use my axles or get some made and use this center?
thanks,
Brandon

There are two different axle tube sizes for the 8.5, the most common is larger than the 7.5. If you were to make it work you could use a 8.5 28 spline center, which is the same size 28 spline as the 7.5. You would have to figure out a torque arm mount and most likely a way to taper the axle tubes.
