Default Switching to 3.42's

Just like the title says, i'm switching to 3.42's for the time. How are they from a stop? What RPM's/MPH are the best? Thanks in advance to anyone who helps.

@ 70 MPH your motor will be running 2200 RPMs.It's a nice gear for street and strip.I also get 26 MPG on the highway, 18 in town.

If you got the 3.42's for a good deal use them but if you are buying new gears I would put 373's in the car. Just my opinion.

i switched from 3.73's to a 3.42's...due to warranty purposes(got owned)...but i like it....havent gotten to punch it from a stop yet....my rear end is still making lotsa noise...think its low on fluid...just had the posi tracker, axles, and the gears swapped coz mine went out....thinking that the dealership didnt put enough fluid in the rear end...when i turn or cut the wheel, i can hear grinding type noises coming from the rear....any clues on that guys???
