Default Old 12-bolt build-up

I am going to be needing a 12-bolt shortly. I have a old 12 bolt out of something i dont even know but it is good. My question is can they be built to fit in a f-body, I am not concerned about abs/tcs thats not important. I am pretty sure the axle tubes would have to be cut down, does this weeken the rear at all, CAN IT BE DONE. Anyone done this etc....

I too want to do this... easy access to an older 12 bolt makes it mighty tempting... I would think that if you cut the axle tubes and put the correct length axles in there and cannibalized your 10 bolt for the mounting brackets it might not bo too difficult... i have no idea tho

your biggest problem will be fabbing up a Torque arm. Thats probably the hardest part of the whole deal. I think it would be easier to build a budget 9inch.
