Default To anyone with LCA relocation brackets.........

I was looking into getting them from BMR. Do you like them? How much of a difference did they make in your launch on street tires? Are yous welded or bolted in? How much did you pay for the welding?

Thanks,
Jeremy

What we want to know is will they help a stock ride height car to hook up. We do a lot of street racin and he runs and street tires(not drag radials). We are trying to find suspension products that will help him hook on the stock tires. Do LCA relocation brackets fall into this category? If not do you have any to suggest?

Any info would be appreciated,
Marty

No, they do nothing for a stock ride. They are meant for lowered cars to try and get the rear lower control arm parallel to the ground again after being lowered.

What is the stock tire? F1, GSC, RSA, GSA, other? There's not a whole lot to help your regular street tire.

Maybe a torque arm or adjustable springs. Some people swear by a torque arm and some people say there's no difference. I'm sure anything is an improvement over stock but they're pretty pricey at $300+.

You could just get adj. rear shocks so you could soften the settings for better weight transfer to the rear wheels but this really only helps for a "meet me over at XXXXX rd. in 5 minutes" kinda race. Stop light racing might be a little impractical unless you're just cruisin' for races. KYB AGXs are a fairly cheap 8-way adj. shock for around $85 each and they're a good handling shock for the money.

Best bet would be to just break down and get some fairly cheap Nitto DRs. <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[Burnout]" />

I was talking to Brett when I did my Relocation brackets he said to me that the greater the angle of the LCA's to the axle the more planting power the car will have. So they will help a stock height car b/c you are increaseing the down force on the axles.

Hmmm, Brett from BMR recommends the LCAs bolt to the bottom hole.

Yes they do help on cars that are not lowered. They help plant the rear tire a little better I have them and would never go back to being without them. I have also bought them for the new 12 bolt when I get it. If you are trying to get better off the line then they are a good start. A good torque arm and panhard rod should be next if in the budget.
