Default looking for an EC 8.8 rear

i blew up my 10 bolt, i heard extreme chasis was the way to for for an 8.8" rear. my dad's boss's son's girlfriend's neighbor has a BAD *** turbo LT1 that makes almost 1000 to the wheels and he's running one of the EC 8.8s and if it can hold that it can hold my power. if anyone has his contact info please PM me i'd like to get ahold of him. maybe see if we could get a group purchase going or something. thanks in advance.

read the sticky at the top of this section. save yourself the hassle and get a 12 bolt or a 9"

i don't really want to deal with buying a 9" from a major supplier and fitment hassles. the EC units fit fairly well out of the box from what i've heard and work impeccably (sp?)

I have a 4 channel 8.8 EC rear end now with 3.73 gear, Eaton posi, T/A gridle, Bolt on axles, and the goodies. I have around 600 miles on it. It is whining now so most likely u will have to align the ring and pinion or replace it if needed. I would concider selling it because i need a 3 channel ABS rear. Send me a PM with an offer if u are intrested.

I believe from all the info I have read that new or used you will need to repair it. It is just a matter of time. You may end up being a lucky one though. I think in the beginning when he was first doing them he had more time to build them(did a better job). Maybe now he has lots of time again because so many had problems. This is just my opinion and please take it as that. I was going to go with a 8.8 also but decided to go Moser 12 bolt instead.
