you can use the square tip of a 1/2 rachet.

Mine is just a regular 3/8" square hole.I use a short 3/8" extension and rachet to get it off and on.I also have a moser 12 bolt.

Mine is hex also. It is not a square drive. I will be trying to remove it tommorow for the first time. I will probally try to find a bolt that the wrench side fits into the hex. Then I will weld a not on the threaded end. Then use a regular wrench/socket to remove it(homemade adapter). I do not want to buy a large allen wrench(to cheap). It looks to be around 11/16" or maybe even 3/4" internal hex.

use the head of a 9/16 bolt. Get 2 nuts and use them as jam nuts. Works for me. Also it's alot easier to fill from the vent tube hole than the side.

you guys talking about the cover bolt? If you got the TA cover/girdle its the same size as stock, see installuniverisity.com for size, If its the plug on the side it should be square 3/8ths I believe.

the fill plug on the side of the pumpkin is a 9/16" hex drive, or use a 9/16" bolt head like the guy above said

Yeah, it's a big freakin' hex drive... 9/16", as was stated above. The only company I could find that made a hex key that big was Snap On... $25 for that hex key from them direct.

Yours is a moser ,right? I just pulled off my cover yesterday because I broke something at the track sunday.Mine is a MOSER also. And if your talking about the cover its a 3/8" hex fill plug and the rest of the bolts are 1/4" hex.On my post earlier some rears have a plug in the side of them in the housing(like mine) that uses a 3/8 square fill plug.

I believe it's a 7/8th one. I found the exact size a while back.
