Default Bumper braces?

Whats all do you have to do to remove them? Any cutting involved. How much does it weigh all together?

Default Re: Bumper braces?

Front or rear (or both?)

Rear - I don't know, I be colnel has it weighed, but I would be suprised if it was more than 15-20 lbs. Removal is very easy - you need to remove the trim screws for your rear bumper cover (in the wheel well and inside the rear panels - accessed through the rear hatch) Then just jack up the back of your car, slide under, and remove 4 or 6 nuts which hold the rear bumper support on. They will run along the centerline of the supports. Then it just slides out.

I haven't taken out the front one, so wouldn't know - it looks to be a bit heavier though.
