How big of a difference will 3.73s make?
i have an a4 and everybody i have talked to told me to only go to a 3:73 and not a 4:10.
depending on how fast you want your car going the car will shift into overdrive with the 4:10 before you cross the line. my car is at 6200 rpms when i cross the line in third gear.

Wow...the only shop around here that I trust to work on my rear end is now charging over $600 to install gears! I wish Rev Xtreme could do it, but we lack the tools that are needed to do it professionaly.....so gears are for sale....going to try and sell them localy but if I can't I will post it on here.
Thanks for all the help, but it all came down to price, with me getting wheels, converter, and cutouts in the next 2-3 weeks, I can't nor never want to pay to install these.....

what is it with 26" tires...locked up in 3rd and 3.73 gears? I thought i came up with 135mph

First of all he doesn't have a cam so he isn't gonna go 6500rpm's. He is already gonna have a hell of a time hooking with 3.73's i know i do. Gas mileage will go down but also when cruising on the highway he will be revving alot more rpm which in turn means more wear on the engine. Yea if he can hook 4.10's will be yield more of a gain.
