I've heard that reducing the stall speed also reduces the STR. Are you saying the ST300 is as loose or looser than the ST3500, or just that you expected the ST3000 to be pretty tight?

This is the first post I've read where someone had a ST3500 with the stall reduced to 3000 to throw a code. Is this common??? Ponchofan, chime in here! I thought your ST3500 reduced to a 3000prm stall speed was about perfect.

The ST 3000 feels as loose as the ST 3500 in the low end. Of course when you get to the rated stall speed, it feels tighter. I called Yank and they said that the converter is basically a hydraulic clutch and since they all have the same size(smaller than stock) they will all feel a little loose compared to stock. I am now going to a bigger converter, the TT 3000, to get a little better low end kick and throttle response. It's physically bigger than the ST and should feel tighter below its rated stall speed than the super thruster converters.

I doubt that a ST3500 feels as tight as my ST3000.
1. Takes a slight amount more pedal to move-nothing big. Car creeps forward at idle and doesn't roll back on a steep hill.
2. Seems to hold shifts longer at low speed and light throttle.
It's been in since July and never thrown a code.
3. Never had it unlock while cruising.

That's quite a bit different than replies I've seen on a ST3500.
