Default Tranny rebuild costs...

I'm having my tranny looked at soon and I may have it go through a performance rebuild. What kind of materials and parts are good to have? I know virtually nothing about Trannies. Also, how much does a rebuild like this typically run cost wise?

just get a finish line performance trans...it will handle anything you can throw at it...its better spending money the right way the FIRST time....

I had one "performance" built with expensive bands and clutches and alot of new parts and it lasted a month. I have an FLP tranny on the way now and I wish I would have got one the first time.

I agree 100% that you should go with the level IV FLP trans. Take it from someone that went through 5 4L60E's built by various other shops.
An FLP level IV will be swapped in when I do heads/cam.

Does FLP have a website that shows these things?

They have a website, but it's under construction. The best way to get information on their level IV 4L60E is to call Chuck Johnson directly at (630)820-9294.

Chuck Johnson is running a GP on his level IV 4l60E for this month only. Make sure that you get the GP price of $1795.
