Default Clunk in the rear, but only on left turns

Well thats says it all.
I'm not sure what I hurt. Sun
I raced at the outlaw drags.
And now when I turn left I get a clunking
from the rear. Posi seems fine,
I'm pulling the cover off and changing
fluid this weekend. Any sugestions
what I should look for?

Mine has the Torsen rear. I bought the car new and have never raced it. The rear does the clunking sound when slowly turning left or creeping up to a light. Kind of like a "box of rocks". I keep reading that this is normal. <img src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

A friend with a Ws6 said he had his rear serviced. Before the service no clanks after clanks.. He found out they did not put posi fluid in it.. My SS has a little driveshaft clank in it..

First survey the obvious!!!

I had the exact same thing happen after a day at the drag strip. Only when I turned left there was a loud clanking every coulple feet it was a loud clanking and also seemed to jolt the whole car when it occurred.

I was panicking. I did a little Nascar swirving on the road and it felt like the whole front and back half of the car were disconnected. When I pushed on the side of the car it was looser than it had been and also a slight clanking noise could be heard.

Got under it and found the bolt on the left side of the panhard bar had worked it's way out a little bit. I tightened it back up, it continued to make a little noise but it disappeared in about two miles of driving.

Give this a try before you go getting your hands dirty... it sounds like the exact same thing that happened to me.
