Eaton 400# vs 800# Springs
I email Strange about the 800# spring option for the 12 Bolt. They said it would be grabby. They come standard with the 400# springs. Who opted for the 800# springs and how well do they perform? Any problems with a daily driver with the 800's?

It's not the springs that cause the posi to transfer the torque. I mean they help to get the ball rolling but it's actually the seperation forces on the gear teeth that push the gear back face into the clutch disks. The 800 lbs springs just get the ball rolling quicker and some make more noise or tend to chatter around corners. Not all of them though. If your running slicks I'd use the 800 lbs just because of the traction available. Small street tires might hop around corners but I doubt slicks will.

traction based for a daily driver your gonna have to take it easy in the rain on 800's they put the 400's in there for better manners but if you can live with 800's their gonna be a better choice
