when do you need a torque arm?? do i need one? Keep this in mind. Im a student: junior in high school so working a job isnt possible till summer <img src="gr_sad.gif" border="0"> . For Christmas i got money plus money ive saved i have about $600. BMR sells a packaage with---Full length, bolt-in adjustable torque arm, subframe connectors, adjustable panhard rod, shocktower brace, and your choice of boxed or tubular control arms.----Im about $100 away from that. But with my mods i have now, and figuring i need to travel that suspension road, would i be better off just getting, say, LCA's, SFC's, and STB??? what other variations do you suggest?

Re: when do you need a torque arm?? do i need one? well i am into dragging. But i only go to the track maybe once a month and on occasion twice a month. But then of course im on the street for the rest of the time. As far as weight goes, ive had my seats out waiting to go get some time but i havent. So i just have kept my seats out <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0"> as well as the spare. maybe a panhard for wheel hop.
Re: when do you need a torque arm?? do i need one? I know three 10 second LS1's that still have the stock Torque Arm. One guy had a Spohn, and replaced it with the stocker. If your are "dialing" in a car.. that just one more thing to worry about. I say until you bend it... leave it stock.

Re: when do you need a torque arm?? do i need one? crap! i just cant decide. What would you guys concider an equilibrium between getting just what i need and not spending the most money on the biggest package (unless the biggest one is the best, though the $675 one is the one w. the TA i dont need)

Re: when do you need a torque arm?? do i need one? I would just get SFCs, helped a lot in my case, and some LCAs. Those are the two biggest improvements you can make, suspension wise. SFCs for handling, LCAs for drag racing

If I were in your spot I would skip the TA for now. I think your money would be better spent elsewhere at this point.

Re: when do you need a torque arm?? do i need one? Look around, how many 11/10sec cars are stock suspension parts? ALOT!! If suspension is something you want to do, go with some LCA and relocation brackets, that will help traction. after that maybe some SFC. Dont know if you are more into draggin or not but the less weight you have the better.
When are SFC needed? Got 'em, might be removing them, for the weight issue.
