How many of you are slower on the street because of 4.10s?

I have an M6 car with full suspension (minus torque arm) and the usual bolt-ons.......I'm considering a gear because I'm getting tired of the stock 3.42s. Alot of you guys rave about 4.10s, but I also hear enough comments on how 1st and sometimes 2nd is useless on the street. If running Nitto's (DRs), should I go for 3.73s or will I run even faster w/ 4.10s?
Again, the big issue is which will make me faster on the street. I'd go for 4.10s without a doubt if it was more of a track orientated car, but I often hear "I love my 4.10s but have no traction down low."

You just gotta learn how to drive it, yes just dumping and mashing will get you no where except banging off the rev limiter and wheelspin thru the lower gears.
