Default 4.10 Gears right for my setup

I was wondering if 4.10 gears would be right for my setup? I've been reading alot that 4.10 gears are great for stock cars but once you start modding your car like heads/cam they wouldnt be so great because you would have to shift into 5th gear in the 1/4 mile. How much top end do you lose with 4.10? Would I feel a difference if I go with 3.73? Is it even worth going from 3.42 to 3.73?

Just ordered my GM Motive 4:10s today. Its actually the opposite in some cases. When you mod a car with heads, cam, headers and stuff you loose a lot of bottom end. and with cams... the bigger you go the further up in the RPM range you need to get before hitting the sweet spots. For you I would definately get the 4:10's by looking at your mods alone. There is lot of room with the 6 speeds. But hey.... thats just my opinion for what its worth. Maybe some of the pros can chime in.
