Default Nitto NT555 or NT555R??

Which of these tires would be the best for ALL weather conditions and a Vig3200(I am switching to this soon) with my mods?

Get the drag radials if you can afford the fact that they wear out faster. They're safe in the rain, but useless in snow (if you happen to be in the panhandle).

Drag radials. I got the NT555 and they do not hold me. I wish I had gotten the DRs.

They are more of the "performance" type tire...fast turns, handling, etc, etc, etc

What if I put SZ-50EP's on front and 555R's on back? How does that sound?

555R's are nice...
But as stated, with a converter, you'll still shred em.
I stick with my phantoms (255/50 all around) for the street
and use the 555R's for the track...
Evidently they will be 'ok' in the rain, but after
a bit of wear, look out!
Once you get to that point they are track only tires!
Get another set of rims and just swap the 555R's out
at will when you need em.
Remember, they are only rated for 15k Miles of
'normal driving'...

Really?... I don't have any trouble. I'm pretty sure no one has put more miles on a larger converter than me .. well maybe Patrick ..

Nitto 315 DR at 24psi are a great street tire setup! ET Streets are the trick for the track

So the 555R's are better for the street as well as the track? Are the 555R's THAT much better? This car is a daily driver, so road manners matter a little, but I also want it to hook when I get a run-in with other cars

And wow, $155 a tire? Thats pretty cheap! I'll probably buy 2 of them and stick with my SZ-50's up front if this is the way I decide to go.

Brian, that’s not a maybe, that’s a definite!

That track is so slick most of the time that I think I could hook better on ICE
