Default Should I have shifts firmed up on stock tranny?

My PCM is going back to Ed WRight for programming for the injector change (SVO 30lb). Is there any problem having him firm up the shift points on the stock tranny? This is a 2000 auto, heads/cam/intake car with a ST3500 converter. It makes about 390 RWHP. I wasn't sure if it reduces the life of these trannys or not.

I've got a TRANSGO installed on mine. Shifts nice and easy at light throttle and then hits like a truck when you want some 'Go Time'.

Do Not Adjust your Shift firmness with Programming!!!!!

If you want firmer shifts, go with a shift kit. If you adjust the program to firm up your shifts (like I did) you will have tranny problems (like many others). Just my thoughts.
