Default Eibach Sportlines and MAC ORP

I tried the search and I must be specific search challenged or something because I couldn't find anything helpful. So if its a redundant question, Sorry, Veteran's of the board!

I just want to know if anyone has the Sportlines with an aftermarket Y-pipe? I need to know if it's in my best interest to pass on installing the Sports because I have a MAC ORP, or if I'm alright if I'm careful of Road Hazards?

<img src="graemlins/gr_hail.gif" border="0" alt="[hail]" /> Thanks for any help.

DO NOT do this! I had some Sport Lines on my car and I just got them taken off recently. I have a 3 inch y-pipe w/ cats and Grotyohann Headers. I had less than 2 fingers width of clearance at one point. I recommend no doing this, unless you dont mind scraping on the smallest of bumps.

Thanks Saint.

What if I went back to the stock Y? I have a cut-out I haven't installed yet. Anyone with a stock Y and Sports?

Been there, done that too. The car was lowered before I had the headers done. You will have about 4-5 fingers with the stock Y. If you want to lower the car, and keep the headers, I would recommend going to maybe a 1" lowering spring. That's about the best your going to be able to do if you want to lower it. If you don't mind the scrapes, then the lowest I would recommend at MAX would be a set of Eibach Pro-Kits. I would only do the sportlines if you have stock Y and no cross-brace. But, the stock Y-will kill the power and sound of your Macs too.

Thanks again Saint.

I haven't decided on what to give up yet.... it's a Money thing. The MACs (Hdrs & Y) are on the car, the springs are not. I'm kinda tired of the Racing thing and contemplating going back to near stock, at least with the exhaust.

Hey, have you ever heard of anyone putting the stock muffler in with the Loudmouth? I'm feeling out options right now.

I have Sportlines on my car with manifolds and a 2.5" Y-pipe - customized SLP piece. A cut-out might be a tight fit under there, but I am planning on for the spring anyway. I scrape rarely and only on steep break-overs. Regular curbs are not a problem, moderate or larger speed bumps are avodied always anyway. This car is a daily driver and I honestly don't have any issues with the set up. I also have a set of box BMR SFCs that I choose specificaly so they would be the lowest thing on the car just in case - something to think about.

As a side note I may be going w/ different springs for other reasons, so I may be selling my Sportlines. Drop me an email if you might be interested or if you want some pictures of the car w/ the springs on there.
