Do I need a Stud Kit w my T/A Girdle stock 10 bolt build? Hey all just wanted to know if I really need the stud kit that they sell with the T/A girdle? What is the purpose of it and where exactly does it go? I have stock 10 bolt on an A4 and I am switching from a 3.23 to a 3.43 or 3.73 gear.

not know " if really need the stud kit "but for $ 20. and you are going into be removing the caps to change gear , why not blow the 20 ? , as it may be the small straw which helps hold the thing together.
the kit replaces the 4 cap screws which hold caps for the the carrier bearings, be sure and FOLLOW the directions , and if you remove the caps at any time BE SURE and re tighten the set screws each time before tighten the nuts
