10 bolt questions Bout to get the 350 put in. I did not get the brake. Now with the smaller first will the tranny be easier or harder on the rear? I would love to run the 10 bolt for a while if I can, how long do you think it'll last(on et drags)? The reason I ask this is cause I kinda wanna change the rear ratio(3.23-3.73)but I don't wanna spend money on something thats just gonna brake. How much will this weaken the rear end? Will the TA girdle help? Is there any way to just beef up the 10 bolt(like stronger internals)? I know of quite a few 10 sec cars with the 10 bolt so what are your secrets <img src="images/icons/confused.gif" border="0"> ? BTW my car does not 60' very hard so I imagine it's not too hard on the rear. I just remember braking my old vette's IRS like 7 times in 2 years...so....I'm kinda scared of brakin this one.

Re: 10 bolt questions well the car will 60 hard now with the new trans...have you decided what stall you are going with??
I am putting a 9" in along with it...when you shift from park to reverse it shocks the drivetrain...so I doubt it will last long on WOT up shifts on a sticky tire.. <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">

Re: 10 bolt questions Give it a shot Marty. I know somebody who went like 6 months runnin 10's with that setup and never broke it. You should prolly start putting away the cash and get the 9 inch when you can.
