I have differential problems

I have differential problems We noticed at the track that most of the time my car just wanted to spin with the right wheel . Does my diff. need rebuilding , or would a fluid change and some friction modifier help ?
My right tire is slick and the fender is covered in rubber, while the left one is ok and the fender barely has any rubber on it.
Also couldn't that be part of my horrible 60' times ?

Re: I have differential problems Sounds like your posi unit has went out. It's possible that a fluid change could help a bit. Take a look at it when you get the cover off. Might be more going on in there than you think.

Could be just be one of those things that happen I guess.
When I get the cover off what am I looking for exactly, I don't think these cars have clutches in the diff.'s right ? So what went bad ?

Re: I have differential problems 49K may be a little early, but those difs are not known for their longevity. Depends on how hard you've been on it. Unless you popped for the torsen when you bought the car, the 98s have a clutch pack dif in them.
