Ram question........immediate must for adj master?? I am on a TIGHT budget right at the moment, but I need a clutch thats going to hold 600+ rwtq. A can go right up the street and pick up a Ram PP and disk, but that would take up my clutch money. I understand that these setups need an adj. master, but is mod required immediately? Let's say I drove around for 1K miles or so without one, would there be any problems?? TIA

Re: Ram question........immediate must for adj master?? A local guy is using the RAM setup with the stock master and his car drives and shifts fine. However, I think he is an exception, as most do need the adjustable master cyl. Just save your $$ and purchase one. If you do need one and drive the car for awhile, you could damage the syncros if it is always hard to get into gear.

Re: Ram question........immediate must for adj master?? I use the 310 organic disc and have not made my master adjustable yet. I have 8000 miles on the Ram now. Sooner or later I will have to go that route though. Someone else I know has the 6130 disc and he has enough horsepower (570) that he goes through the clutch in about 10,000 miles. Then he has to replace it with a new one.

I was on a Tight Budget thats why i chose RAM. Stock /ADJ. Master 2001 Slave and RAM works FLAWWLESSLY!!! Awsome Setup. Had the Z06 before.......
Re: Ram question........immediate must for adj master?? Hey Josh, I have the 6130 PP and the 402 disc, and I drove around with my stock master cylinder for a little while, and it seemed to be fine. Maybe I was an exception like Jason said, but either way, I wouldn't do it for long. Also, make sure you upgrade your slave too, that cured alot of my stiff pedal problems after installing the RAM. It actually made the aggressive disc much more tame on the street, and easier to drive on a daily basis. There for a while I didn't think the chatter was ever gonna go away! <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0"> The only thing I have left to do now is the RAM Billet flywheel. I've been running a stock re-surfaced flywheel ever since I installed the RAM, which has been around 13-14k miles now. <img src="gr_eek2.gif" border="0"> The car shifts and drives fine, but it still scares me to think what the flywheel looks like now! <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0">
